A love story five years in the making.

Five years ago, at a mutual friend's birthday party, an instant connection sparked between Simon and Sara. "It was one of those moments where you meet someone and instantly click," she recalls. The chemistry was undeniable — after meeting on a Saturday, they were sharing dinner on their first date by Tuesday. The very next day, the world went into lockdown.

What could have been an obstacle instead became the foundation of something extraordinary. With life slowed down, the pair spent their days walking, grabbing coffee and simply enjoying each other's company. "Those simple moments allowed us to build a strong foundation for our relationship," says Sara. Looking back, she believes the timing happened exactly as it was meant to.

When the proposal came, it was every bit as meaningful. During a long weekend escape to Lorne, the couple spent the day relaxing by the beach before heading out for dinner. As the sun dipped below the horizon, Simon dropped to one knee on the sand and asked Sara to marry him. "It was a moment I will never forget," she says.
