The Venue
Hubert Estate sits among the vines of Coldstream in the Yarra Valley, an hour from Melbourne's CBD. Its architecture is immediately distinctive — dark corrugated iron, pivot doors clad in warm timber, and a forecourt of raw concrete that catches the afternoon light in a way few venues can.
Inside, the contrast deepens. Candlelit receptions unfold against blackened timber walls and towering floral installations. Outside, the vineyard rolls to the horizon. At golden hour, the glow that comes through those wooden doors is unlike anything else C2 Films shoots in Victoria.

Planning Your Hubert Estate Wedding
Hubert Estate's visual identity is built on contrast — dark iron against pale vineyard sky, warm candlelight against blackened timber walls, the intimacy of a barn and the scale of the Yarra Valley. For C2's cinematographers, that contrast is the entire brief.
The venue photographs beautifully across all times of day, but the late afternoon window — when the sun drops behind the ridge and the light turns amber through the forecourt — is something we always plan around. It lasts perhaps forty minutes, and the results speak for themselves across every film we've made here.
